PTC Khandala
The Police training Centre, Khandala was established in the year 1960 and it is situated in the Sahyadri ranges of Maval Tahsil of Pune district. The institute is approximately at an altitude of 1000 meters from mean sea level and acquires 46 acres of land. Over the years, 63 batches of men and 27 batches of women Police Constable have been trained successfully from this training center and they are rendering excellent service for the Maharashtra Police department Till now this institute has trained total no. of 37208 police men & women constables.
Apart from this regular batches this institute has imparted In- Service Training courses of 5 days duration for Head Constable to Assistant Sub Inspector from Sept. 2016 to march 2019 in which 4548 trainees from Maharashtra Police were trained.
An induction training of 8 weeks was organized to 397 trainees of Maharashtra Security Force & 2 weeks training related to Intelligence was organized to 274 wardens of Fishery Department In 2017.
This institute also organized state level workshops in Forensic Science and Investigation evidence, Coastal Guard Security, Cyber Crime Investigation and IT Act 2000 during the period. 107 personnel participated in these workshops.
